ডাঃ উইলহেম হেনরিচ শুসলার
তিনি 21শে আগস্ট, 1821 তারিখে ব্যাড জুইসচেনাহনে (জার্মানি) জন্মগ্রহণ করেন এবং 30শে মার্চ, 1898 সালে ওল্ডেনবার্গের কাছে মারা যান যেখানে তিনি তার জীবনের অনেক বছর কাটিয়েছিলেন।
ডাঃ শুসলার প্যারিস, বার্লিন, গিসেন এবং প্রাগে পড়াশোনা করেছেন এবং গিসসেনে মেডিসিনে ডক্টরেট করেছেন।
প্রথমে ডাঃ উইলহেম হেনরিচ শুসলার পনের বছর ধরে হোমিওপ্যাথিক ডাক্তার হিসাবে সক্রিয় ছিলেন।
একজন হোমিওপ্যাথিক চিকিৎসক প্রথিতযশা ছিলেন। কিন্তু হোমিওপ্যাথি চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞানের বিশালতা, ঔষধের সংখ্যাধিক্যতা, ওষুধ নির্ধারনের জটিলতা তার মনকে বিক্ষিপ্ত করে তুলেছিল এবং পরিচালিত করেছিল নুতন সত্যানুসন্ধানে।
জৈব রসায়ন বিজ্ঞান সম্পর্কে প্রথম ১৮৩২ সালে Stapfs Archiv মাধ্যমে ধ্বনিত হয়েছিল – ‘All the essential component parts of the human body are great remedies’ এবং ঐ পত্রিকাতেই ১৮৪৬ সালে আর একটি বর্ণনা প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল, তা হল – ‘All constituents of the human body act on such organs principally where they have a function.’
বৈজ্ঞানিক রুডলফ ডার্কো ‘Cellular Pathology’ সম্বন্ধে বলেছেন – “All diseases are based upon a change in function or condition of cells in the body’ এবং রোমান বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রফেসর মোলস্কট বলেছেন – ‘The structure and vitality of the organs depends upon the presence of the necessary quantities of inorganic constituents’. জৈব রসায়ন বিজ্ঞানের এই মহাসত্য তথ্য সমূহই ডা. সুসলারকে জৈব রসায়ণ বিজ্ঞান থেকে জৈব রাসায়নিক চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞান প্রবর্তন করতে উৎসাহিত করেছিল।
পরবর্তীকালে অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রমে বহু প্রকার পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার ফল হিসেবে ডা. সুসলার General Homoeopathic Jurnal-এ ১৮৭৩ খ্রীষ্টাব্দে ‘An abridged Homoeo Therapy’ নামক তাঁর নিজস্ব চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতি সম্বন্ধে লিখতে শুরু করেন। ১৮৭৪ খ্রীষ্টাব্দে তিনি লিখেছিলেন ‘Restoration of the cell and thereby of the body will result from restoration of the deficit of the inorganic salts. ‘
শেষ পর্যন্ত ডা. সুসলার তার নিজস্ব চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতিকে স্বতন্ত্র চিকিৎসা
পদ্ধতি হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠা করার জন্য লিখেছেন – The inorganic substances in the blood and tissues are sufficient to heal all diseases which are curable at all. If the remedies are used according to the symptoms, the desired end
will be gained by means of the application of natural laws.’
তাঁর মৃত্যুর পূর্বে, সর্বশেষ সংস্করণে তিনি হোমিওপ্যাথিক চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতির সঙ্গে তাঁর চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতিকে আলাদা করবার জন্য লিখেছিলেন –
‘The Biochemic method of treatment is not based upon the Hemoeopathic law of cure, but upon Physic-Logico-Chemical processes that take place within the organism.”
ডা. সুসলারের জীবদ্দশায় তাঁর অনুগামী Dr. W. Carey চিকিৎসকদের সুবিধার জন্য ১৮৯৪ খ্রীষ্টাব্দে ‘The Biochemic Systems of Medicine’ নামক বই প্রকাশ করেছিলেন। ডা. সুসলার ১৮৯৮ সালে ইহলোক ত্যাগ করেন।
